Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker brushed off CNN’s question Tuesday asking how he felt about Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s recently uncovered lie that he was in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square massacre in June 1989.”Look, when you’re in public life for a couple of decades, you’re going to make a mistake here and there, and you’re going to get called out on it,” he said. “On the other side of the ticket, you had guys who were lying every day, to the American people, and I think that’s what really matters.”Walz, who planned his wedding for the fifth anniversary of the massacre, made the claim at least three times between 2009 and 2019, both as a congressman and as governor of Minnesota.
