Donald Trump Announces He Will ‘Cut Federal Funding’ For Any School Teaching Critical Race Theory On ‘Day One’ Of Presidency

Donald Trump continues to tell voters exactly what to expect if he is elected president in 2024, most recently telling a crowd in Reno, Nevada that he will “cut federal funding for any school pushing Critical Race Theory.” When, exactly? Oh, “on day one.” Keep reading to find out more about the former president’s political promises .

Trump To Cut Funding To Schools Teaching Critical Race TheoryAt a campaign event in Reno, Nevada, Donald Trump announced to a cheering crowd that he has big plans for day one of his presidency, if he wins the election this November. “On day one I will sign a new executive order to cut federal funding for any school pushing critical race theory, transgender insanity, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children,” he declared.Critical race theory analyzes how social structures including social and political laws and media shape social conceptions of race and ethnicity. In the past, Donald Trump has called it “ridiculous left-wing dogma,” and a “twisted doctrine,” incorrectly explaining that “it teaches [children] that America is systemically evil and that the hearts of our people are full of hatred and malice.”

Donald Trump has previously said that he will be a “ dictator” on “day one ” of his presidency, so at least he’s being consistent with his claims.

Trump has other plans for his presidency if he wins out over his democratic opponent in November. In addition to cutting federal funding for schools teaching critical race theory, he also said he will “keep men out of women’s sports,” and that he wants to “drill, baby, drill” for more oil, and stop the transition to electric vehicles. He also said that he “will prevent World War 3,” which is, according to him, “very close now,” and that if he were still president, “we wouldn’t have inflation, we wouldn’t have the Israel disaster, we wouldn’t have Ukraine and Russia fighting —none of this.”U.S. Representative Dina Titus, a democrat from Nevada, issued a statement on the issue: “Donald Trump is running on an extreme, unpopular agenda that Nevadans have rejected again and again. Over the past few months, Trump has shown us that he is willing to jeopardize our democratic institutions to force an extreme, cruel, anti-freedom agenda on Nevadans if he gets another term as president.”
