PS4 games boost as major exclusive is NOT skipping PlayStation 4 for PS5

games list has been given a major boost with it turning out a highly anticipated exclusive is not skipping the PlayStation 4 for the PS5.

The PS4 has been the best selling console of this generation, shifting over 100million units since it launched back in 2013.

Arguably one of the main reasons for the PS4’s success is its enviable selection of exclusive games.

From God of War, to Marvel’s Spider-Man, to Horizon Zero Dawn, to Uncharted 4, to Gran Turismo Sport, to Street Fighter 5 – the list goes on and on.

The PS4 still has plenty more great exclusives, with Death Stranding out next month and Last of Us 2 and the Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming in 2020.

It had been speculated that some of the PlayStation games that were scheduled for the tail end of the console’s lifecycle could end up on the PS5.

But Sony has announced that one highly anticipated PS4 title, which doesn’t have a confirmed release date, won’t be skipping the PS4 for the PS5.

In a blog post revealing more about the PS5, Sony confirmed that Ghost of Tsushima is still on its way to the PS4.

Fans had been left wondering if Ghost of Tsushima would be heading to the PS5 as there hasn’t been an official update in awhile.

The last time Sucker Punch’s next game surfaced was back during E3 2018 when a new gameplay trailer was debuted.

But Sony has confirmed that Ghost of Tsushima is still indeed coming to the PS4 in a post written by SIE’s CEO Jim Ryan.

The PlayStation bigwig said: “While there’s much more to share about PlayStation 5 in the year ahead, we have plenty of blockbuster experiences coming your way on PS4, including Death Stranding, The Last of Us Part II, and Ghost of Tsushima.”

The news will be music to PS4 fans’ ears that Ghost of Tsushima will still be heading to the PlayStation 4.

It remains to be seen, however, when Sucker Punch’s next game actually launches and if it ends up being a cross-gen title or not.
